Solar and Clouds, permanent installation at the Oak Farm Montessori School, 2015

This installation was a collaboration with the 1st through 8th grade students of the Oak Farm Montessori School. We made the clouds together as a group project from materials collected from their homes, and the students learned that their actions can make a positive impact on our collective attitude toward the environment. The school purchased my guillemot sculpture “Solar” from the collection offered through Project Vortex. 50% of the proceeds went to Living Lands and Waters, a one-of-a-kind "industrial strength" river cleanup operation headquartered in Illinois.
